DESIGN SYSTEM

As with any large corporate client, Verizon partner products must employ a strict use of design guidelines to remain consistent with the corporate brand. Since this was an ongoing project with several event activations for the app, some happening simultaneously, I created a scaled down design system that would fit as a style guide for any collaborating UI designers or art directors at TriggerXR. In certain cases such as the video player controls or onboarding icons, custom icons needed to be created and were approved by Verizon’s iconography team.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The immersive 360º Web AR live experience (working name “Portals”) was accessible through mobile web and integrated into various partner applications including the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show, Phoenix Suns, The Indy 500, X Games, Latin Grammys and more. Upon launch, users have an AR view of their physical environment and were able to place a “portal” and step inside, digitally transported them to the venue. The integration allowed football fans to toggle between three different views, one on each sideline and a Director’s Cut and included a curated feed of the main stage.
